William Clayton is an interdisciplinary artist currently based in Denver Colorado. He's passionate about connecting movement in all his art whether that be choreography, visual art, or film work. He has worked as a commercial and company dancer since 2016. His career started in Los Angeles where he had several opportunities to work with choreographers who pushed him to grow his art. In 2018 he moved to Denver Colorado to dance with Wonderbound a contemporary ballet company. Here he was able to deepen his craft for 3 years before moving on to join a master's program based in Chambersburg Pennsylvania at Wilson College. He graduated this May with his MFA in Interdisciplinary arts, he presented his thesis show "Bodies of Erosion" which was a gallery show that included a 20 minute film, 15 4-ft tall art pieces, and a 15 minute live performance all centered around translating the effects of erosion onto human bodies. He's passionate about connecting the natural world to his performance art and centering his work on somatic experiences.
