Shelby Blanchard
Shelby Blanchard earned her BFA in Ballet from the University of South Florida, where she choreographed original works for the Student Dance Showcase and was awarded the Victoria Catherine Selden Dance Scholarship for her achievements in modern and choreography. Since graduating, she has danced professionally with Tampa City Ballet, Relevé-tions, and currently with Central Oregon School of Ballet, where she also teaches ballet and contemporary ballet. Her choreographic work has been featured by Bend Dance Collective, Further Movement Collective, and Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration. Shelby’s current focus as a choreographer and dancer is not only classical pointe work, but contemporary ballet, and contemporary floor flow. This summer, she will continue her choreographic research during a residency at Moulin/Belle in southern France.
